Rosario María de la Cascada, affectionately known as Rosie, was born into a family of dancers who had preserved the traditions of Bluefall House, a picturesque city nestled beside the majestic Dragon's Roar Falls on the Blue Dragon River.

She spent her entire childhood and youth there, and the unique philosophy of the city shaped both her personality and the path she would eventually choose.

But let's begin at the beginning.

When people first hear Rosie's full name, Spain is usually the first thing that comes to mind. What could such a name be doing on another planet? The answer is more complicated than it seems.

Rosie comes from a long line of hereditary dancers, and the story behind her name is woven from several generations of family history.

On her mother's side, every generation shared two lifelong passions: dance and roses. Each family garden became known for cultivating its own unique variety of rose. That is where the name Rosario comes from.

The story of María is completely different.

For many generations on her father's side, only boys had been born. Not that anyone was disappointed. Every child was welcomed with love, yet Rosie's grandmother secretly dreamed of having just one granddaughter.

When Rosie was finally born, the entire family celebrated the occasion. To honor that long-awaited wish, she received the second name María.

But why does her name sound Spanish?

Because her parents were much more than dancers. They were ethnographers devoted to studying the traditional dances of the many cultures of Seylaronia. As part of international research programs, the Guild of Mages and Consilium STP (Consilium of Space-Time Portals) occasionally authorized scientific expeditions to Earth using the Transportation Machine.

During one such expedition, Rosie's parents spent several months in Spain. They fell deeply in love with flamenco, traditional dances, local customs, and the warmth of Spanish culture. When they returned home, many of those influences quietly became part of their everyday lives.

That was when they made a promise: If they ever had a daughter, her name would forever remind them of that unforgettable journey. And so she became Rosario María.

But what about de la Cascada?

It was beside a roaring waterfall, while listening to its powerful music, that Rosie's mother first felt her unborn daughter kick. In that moment she somehow knew this child would possess the same unstoppable energy as the waterfall itself. That memory became the final part of her daughter's name.

Rosario María de la Cascada grew into everything her parents had hoped her name would represent. She was graceful like a blooming rose, tall and elegant with an almost flower-like silhouette. Even her naturally curly hair resembled a rose in full bloom, wild, full, and impossible to tame.

Rosario María was open-hearted, optimistic, kind, and endlessly inspiring. People found themselves smiling simply by being near her. As a dance teacher, she did much more than teach choreography. She helped people discover the emotions hidden inside themselves and release the burdens they had quietly carried for years.

And as for de la Cascada... That part suited her perfectly. Rosie was a whirlwind of energy. She seemed incapable of feeling either exhaustion or sadness. She adored high heels, bright colors, cheerful gatherings, and music with an energetic beat.

Her favorite meal was almost anything spicy wrapped inside a simple flatbread. Her favorite flower was a deep wine-red rose. In the evenings she loved drinking warm milk with raspberry jam while reading a few sonnets. She could happily stay awake all night yet disliked early mornings.

Making friends came naturally to her. She quickly became the heart of every gathering and the driving force behind countless adventures.

Yet despite that lively first impression, one of her greatest joys surprised almost everyone.

Rosie loved silence.

Her perfect escape was the shore of a quiet lake where distant mountains touched the horizon, gentle waves whispered alongside birdsong, and the forest rustled softly behind her. From time to time she disappeared from the busy world to spend what she called her "days of silence," alone with nothing but nature. 

Yet the greatest influence on the person Rosie would become was not her family, but the city where she grew up.

Росаріо Марія де ла Каскада, коротко Росі (Rosario María de la Cascada), народилася в родині спадкових танцівників, які підтримують традиції міста Блюфолл Хаус (Bluefall House — Дім Блакитного Водоспаду). Це затишне місто, розташоване біля величного водоспаду Рик Дракона (Dragon's Roar Falls), у руслі річки Блакитний Дракон (Blue Dragon River - Ріка Блакитний Дракон). Усе дитинство та юність вона провела тут, тому особливий уклад життя цього міста відобразився на її вподобаннях і майбутній професії.

Але будемо йти по порядку.

Коли ви бачите повне ім'я Росі, на думку одразу спадає Іспанія. Але до чого вона на іншій планеті? Все не так просто. 🙂

Ця мила пані походить із родини спадкових танцівників. Історія її імені досить заплутана.

Усі покоління по материнській лінії, окрім того, що основним заняттям мали танці, захоплювалися вирощуванням троянд. Кожен сімейний сад славився власним особливим сортом. Саме звідси походить ім'я Росаріо.

З Марією інша історія.

По батьківській лінії багато років у всіх родичів народжувалися лише хлопчики. Не те щоб це когось засмучувало. Родина щиро раділа кожній дитині, але бабуся все ж мріяла хоча б про одну онуку. Тому коли нарешті народилася дівчинка, це стало великою подією для всієї родини. Саме тому їй дали друге ім'я Марія.

Чому ж тут з'явилися іспанські нотки?

Її батьки були не просто танцівниками.

Вони були етнографами, які досліджували традиційні танці різних народів Сейларонії. У межах наукових програм Гільдія Магів та Консиліум ЧПП (часово-просторових порталів) іноді дозволяли короткочасні експедиції на Землю через Машину Переміщення.

Під час однієї з таких експедицій батьки Росі кілька місяців провели в Іспанії на планеті Земля. Вони були настільки захоплені фламенко, народними танцями та місцевими традиціями, що після повернення додому багато елементів цієї культури стали частиною їхнього життя. Саме тоді вони вирішили: якщо народиться донька, вона матиме ім'я, яке нагадуватиме про ту незабутню подорож.

Так з'явилося ім'я Росаріо Марія.

А що ж означає де ла Каскада?

Саме біля водоспаду, милуючись його могутньою музикою, мати Росі вперше відчула поштовх маленької ніжки у своєму лоні. Вона зрозуміла, що ця дитина буде енергійною та вибуховою, мов сам водоспад. Звідси й з'явилося це прекрасне доповнення до імені.

Росаріо Марія де ла Каскада стала справжнім утіленням усього, що батьки вклали в її ім'я.

Вона була прекрасною, мов вишукана квітка, стрункою, немов троянда на високому стеблі. Що кумедно, її кучерява зачіска теж нагадувала троянду: така ж пишна й неприборкана.

Росаріо Марія була завжди відкритою, світлою, доброю та натхненною. Поруч із нею люди мимоволі починали усміхатися. Будучи викладачкою танців, вона могла не просто навчити рухів, а допомогти людині відкрити власну душу й звільнити серце від тягаря.

А з Каскадою все зрозуміло.

Росі була справжнім клубком енергії. Здавалося, вона не знає ні втоми, ні смутку. Вона обожнювала високі підбори, яскравий одяг, веселі компанії та музику з швидким темпом. Її улюбленою стравою були будь-які гострі начинки, загорнуті в пісний корж. Найулюбленіша квітка — винно-червона троянда. Вечорами вона любила випити склянку молока з малиновим варенням і прочитати кілька сонетів. Росі могла не спати всю ніч і зовсім не любила рано прокидатися. Вона легко заводила нові знайомства, швидко ставала душею компанії й була рушійною силою спільних пригод.

Але, незважаючи на таке перше враження, ви будете дещо здивовані, дізнавшись про її вподобання.

Найбільше Росі любила відпочивати в тихих місцях. Ідеальним для неї був берег озера, де вдалині височіли гори, тихий шепіт хвиль перегукувався зі співом пташок, а за спиною лагідно шумів ліс. Тому іноді вона вирушала подалі від людей і влаштовувала собі «дні тиші». Поринала в усамітнення, де поруч залишалися лише звуки природи.
