PART 1.

Get ready for a tale about a fascinating girl named Xiao Chen, also known as Vayeli!
Who better understands the issues of eternal youth is Vayeli. And no wonder, because she is a vampire. In fact, she has a rather long name - Vayeli Michelle Salvia Batista.
Vayeli was born so long ago that it may seem unbelievable to you. This is a romantic and rather sad story, as it often happens in love. Emperor Guan Wu fell in love with Ming Yue, the daughter of a silk factory owner. One day, Ming Yue accompanied another shipment of silk to the emperor's court instead of her father. When Guan Wu saw the girl, his heart was struck by lightning. They loved each other.
Ming Yue gave birth to an extremely beautiful baby girl named Xiao Chen, which meant "early morning". The emperor kept this relationship a secret, as it turned out for good reason. Xiao Chen, as Vayeli was called as a child, was very intelligent and talented. She differed from her peers in extraordinary abilities. Although she saw her father infrequently, his every visit was filled with paternal care and affection.
But trouble happened. Because of the reforms, Guan Wu had many enemies. They found out about the daughter and bribed one of Ming Yue's maids to plant the poison. The beloved of the emperor died in a few days, the daughter began to get sick. The girl was 10 years old, the young body tried to fight, but still she withered like a flower in the desert. The emperor summoned the best doctors and healers, but nothing helped. Her daughter's life was fading before her eyes.

PART 2.

The healer Stefan Iorge from Transylvania happened to be in those regions. He traveled the world in search of rare medicinal plants. Stefan learned about the emperor's plight and offered help.

After examining Vayeli, the healer sat in thought for a long time by the window, it seemed that he knew what it was, but did not dare to tell Guan Wu. The emperor was a very intelligent person, so when he entered the room, he immediately noticed it. The father said that he was ready to hear any answer.

- Good - said Stefan. - I can cure your daughter, she will live. But I do not guarantee that her body will not change. Medicines that will put on your feet are very dangerous in another way, they...

- And she will definitely live? - the emperor interrupted him.

- Guaranteed.

- Then I agree.

- But there is one more condition. - said the healer, covering his eyes. - More precisely, this is not my condition, but the condition that the mutation will be kept under control. This is a simple and not simple condition at the same time.

- I am ready to pay any amount! - said Guan Wu, taking a sharp step forward.

The emperor's heart began to pound, his head echoed that his daughter would live. Stefan Iorge understood that the man was so excited that he could not listen and perceive all the information completely. So he just continued.

- Hmm, - thought Stefan Iorge. - You didn't understand me that well. It's not about money. I need another healer to initiate him into the secret of medicine. Vayeli must take this medicine every day. Especially in adolescence, it is important to drink them even at the same time every day. When she turns 18, the healer will give her the initiation. After that, Xiao Chen herself will be able to prepare medicine.

A smile flashed across the emperor's face, could he have thought that everything was so simple.

- And that's all, this is the only condition. Oh, but it's simpler than simple.

The fact is that the emperor had a nanny as a child, but she was not a simple woman, but a healer. He trusted her as his own mother. She had long since retired from practice, lived far from people. It was an ideal option, he would hide his daughter, and she would also live with a healer, a dear and devoted person to him.

"I agree!" said Guan Wu. "Treat."

PART 3.

Stefan Iorge said that the treatment takes at least a week, so there is enough time to devote to the healer.

Treatment has begun. Meanwhile, the emperor, dressed as a bodyguard, rode on the fastest horse to his nanny Li Jing. The visit was to take place under cover of darkness to maintain secrecy.

The healer felt that he would come, so she prepared jiaozi. From the threshold, Guan Wu heard his favorite aroma, a smile flashed across his lips, his eyebrows lost their gloomy tightness, and his eyes shone. He plunged into childhood memories, his head began to spin and his body fell to the ground.

– You are very tense as always, my little boy. – Li Jing said, placing her small palm on his forehead. – Now you will feel better.

She pressed her temple, ran her fingers over her head, massaged her neck and rubbed her ears. And then she slapped the emperor on the tip of his nose. Of course, the tap on the nose was not part of the treatment, but a simple joke, allowed only to this sweet woman.

“Tell me what happened, although even I have heard rumors that your daughter is sick.” Sorry, I didn’t know how to help this, so I didn’t come. They say she is living her last days. I'm so sorry, my dear Guanchik.

Suddenly all childhood memories washed away like a sea wave. The Emperor spoke quickly, his words were pleading, there were tears in his eyes, his lips trembled. Only Li Jing could have made him so real and vulnerable.

– My dear nanny, I lost my beloved Ming Yue. Therefore, Xiao Chen is all that is left of our love. I can't lose her. I ask you to become dedicated to the treatment of my daughter and welcome her into your home. You are my last hope.

- My little Guan. I'm ready because I knew you were coming. I recently had a prophetic dream, so I was looking forward to a visit. But first, eat jiaozi and rest for an hour. We still have a lot of time before dawn.

PART 4.

I will not tell you how Vayeli's treatment took place, because this process is secret only for initiated healers. I will say one thing - the emperor's daughter recovered and was secretly transported to the house of nanny Li Jing. And so that no one would look for it, they did it very simply. The emperor's confidant bought the body of a girl who died of smallpox. This body was buried, because the face was so disfigured that no one could understand what the change was. The emperor did not even need to pretend to be sad. Guan Wu often stood by the window and looked into the distance with tears in his eyes. But in reality, they were tears of joy, not grief. After all, somewhere far away, his daughter now lived and she was whole and unharmed.

As instructed by the healer Stefan Stefan Iorge, the nanny prepared special medicine for the girl. Every morning Vayeli drank healing drops and then ran to study. Li Jing gave her all her knowledge, taught her how to grow and collect plants, told how they can be mixed and stored. They studied minerals, different types of water, wind, precipitation, and the movement of celestial bodies. This venerable lady possessed ancient knowledge because she came from an ancient line of sorcerers. Unfortunately, fate did not give her a descendant, so she taught the girl with such joy.

Xiao Chen's name was forgotten, now she was called Vayeli. All the girl's memories were erased with the help of the Notebook of Oblivion, so she considered the nanny to be her grandmother.

What about the emperor? There was an agreement between the nanny and Guan Wu. Once a month, Li Jing and the girl came to the central shopping area of the city. They brought herbs and potions to the magic shop. Then they bought something tasty and at noon sat under a tall tree near the road to eat. And at that very time the emperor was riding in a carriage through that place. So he could see his daughter.

The days flew by one after another. The time was approaching Vayeli's 18th birthday. Soon there was to be an initiation into the recipe for preparing the medicine necessary to save the girl’s life. Li Jing prepared Vayeli gradually, telling some details. The girl was waiting for this moment, worked hard, devoted all her time to studying healing.

PART 5.

A few days before her birthday, Vayeli really wanted to go to the city. Li Jing didn't like this idea for some reason, in general, she had a bad feeling for the last few days. But the weather was wonderful, and it was also necessary to replenish some stocks of substances for magic. And the day of dedication was approaching, and after that they would not have the opportunity to go anywhere for a certain time. Therefore, as often happens, necessity and logic overshadowed intuition and the feeling of something bad.

When they got to the city, it was a beautiful sunny day. Vayeli has turned from a small girl into a slender beauty. The girl put on her favorite dress, put her hair in a bun, and let down one strand so that it fell to her shoulder. It was impossible to pass by such a beauty without noticing her grace. In the bazaar, young men turned and stared. This made her laugh, so she rolled her eyes, a little amused by the feeling of her beauty.

Nanny Li Jing just shook her head, pretending to be angry. But it was funny to her. The hassle of shopping, the surrounding noise completely dispelled any premonitions. They surrendered to the flow of people, the commotion, looked at the goods in the magic and medicinal benches, talked, whispered, and rested. Because of their work, they did not notice how the day passed, and only when dusk began to approach did they realize that they were too late. To get home, they had to move out of the city in the last caravan of merchants.

The carts creaked, bouncing on the stones, lulling the people. Suddenly, a small wind arose, chasing the clouds. It seemed that the rain was about to break. It became very dark, although the sun had not yet set over the horizon. The manager of the camp suggested that we stop before sunrise, because the road could not be seen very well. In addition, the weather was quite warm, so it was possible to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city in nature. After all, merchants moved with their shops from city to city, and it was not so far to go to the next stop. They decided on that and made a stop.

Waieli had been napping while they were driving, so she was now cheerful. As quickly as it got dark, so quickly did it become light. The wind blew away the clouds and the full moon appeared. The girl had a strange feeling inside, she felt more energetic than ever. She heart was pounding, She wanted to sing and dance. For some reason she also really wanted to eat. Her stomach growled.

When Vayeli shared these mood swings with the nanny, Li Jing was a little wary. Again she remembered her premonitions. But she said: "It's okay, we'll be home in the morning, that's just how the dense forest, the moon, the night works. After all, you've never been in a dense forest at night."

And indeed, Vayeli only now realized that despite the fact that they lived near the forest, she never went there at night. Always, before dark, Li Jing called her home and locked the door. She wanted to ask about it right away, but the nanny was already snoring.

In fact, the woman pretended to be asleep because she was not ready to bring up this topic now. Gradually she actually fell asleep.

And Vayeli, hearing her moderate breathing, decided to break the agreement and go into the thicket of trees. In the end, it interested her more than it scared her.

PART 6.

Vayeli went so far into the forest that she no longer saw the glints of the flames of the traders' parking lot. She did not notice that the candle in the lantern went out. The eyes not only distinguished the outlines of surrounding objects, in addition, she saw colors. Which is generally strange for the night, when everything around becomes gray and indistinct. She saw the smallest details, shades of colors, even cracks in the bark of trees and small flowers under her feet, all this became clear and distinct. How long she wandered is unknown, just as it is not clear at all why she was able to find her way back to the forest where she was the first time. But after the walk, the girl confidently walked back, not worrying at all. It seemed that she felt every place where her foot stepped, or some other feeling led her. This surprised Vayeli and fascinated her at the same time. And now there are only a few steps left to the road with the camp.

- But why is it so quiet, - thought she.

Suddenly she felt dizzy. For a few seconds, fear paralyzed the body, the legs became cotton wool, the breath stopped, the heart squeezed into a lump. But all of this was suddenly rejected when a salty-sweet smell reached her. Something inside turned over, hit under the breath, and then it seemed that it would now rise and turn outward. And only when the nausea subsided, Vayeli realized that she did not hear the sound of horses' hooves. The clatter when they shuffle their feet in the parking lot. Apart from the light night noise of the forest and the beating of her heart, she heard nothing. The paralysis receded, the legs rushed to the road by themselves. With a quick movement of her hands, she parted the branches of the last trees that blocked the view. A couple more steps and the legs buckled. Ahead of her was a terrible picture.

There were no horses, the tents were torn apart, the wagons were overturned, the flames of the bonfire went out. There were dead people lying around. Many, many people killed.

- So what was that smell, it was the smell of blood, - flashed in she head.

Vayeli rushed to where she had left the nanny. The woman was still alive, holding on with her last strength, her lips were whispering something.

- Return home and read the Vanishing Chronicles. You will find this notebook on my desk. It is not empty, it is enchanted. Remember... Read... You will understand everything. What a pity, I'm so sorry, but we didn't have time. Didn't have time...

Nanny Li Jing's eyes closed forever. The soul left the body. Vayeli sat and watched with empty eyes, still not fully understanding everything that had happened. She was so shocked that she didn't hear footsteps behind her. Something heavy and cold fell on her head. The blow was not very strong, but she lost consciousness. Darkness engulfed her. The silence of unconsciousness remained.

PART 7.

Waieli came to and looked around. It was located in a rather deep pit, covered with bars on top. Since she realized that she could see well in the dark while still in the forest, she was no longer surprised by this. Her head felt a little dizzy, she felt nauseous, but that didn't stop her from getting up and starting to study the location.

The pit was quite spacious, on the walls various names were scratched. It is clear that she is not the first person here. Approaching footsteps were heard from above, so Vayeli quickly sat up and pretended she was still unconscious.

She heard well and even distinguished smells. It was two men, they spoke slowly and loudly, not knowing that they were being overheard. One smelled of expensive perfume, the other smelled of not very clean clothes and food cooked on an open fire.

After the conversation, Vayeli understood that robbers attacked the trade train. But it was not just a coincidence, a wealthy man paid extra to robbers, hired them for this, so that distrust of Emperor Guan Wu would grow among the population.

- We have a good catch today, - said the robber. - There is a young and beautiful girl, you will be able to negotiate good money for her. You will help us with this, you will find a good buyer.

- Oh, of course, I already have several orders for beautiful girls. Let's see who will offer more. I will send you an answer tomorrow, wait.

An unenviable fate frightened Vayeli. Drops of sweat rolled down his forehead. It tickled her, so she had to rub them with her hand. She felt a salty taste on her lips, looked at her hands. It turned out that they were stained with blood. Most likely, losing consciousness, she fell into a pool of blood. And when she wiped her sweaty face, the blood on her hands got wet and got on her lips.

Suddenly, the girl felt a rush of strength. Although, judging by everything, the time when it was necessary to take everyday medicine has long passed. What was going on, what secret should she read about, what did Li Jin mean before her death. Vayeli thought and did not notice how she began to lick the blood from her fingers. Something seemed to blossom inside, she was not at all sick of this taste.

There was a ringing in the ears, the head was a little dizzy, and it seemed that wings were growing behind the back, and the legs were coming off the ground.

Oh, what's happening to me ? - Vayeli exclaimed in surprise, throwing her hands away from her mouth. - What am I doing, what is happening.

Someone heard her cry from above, the steps started to approach. It was too late to pretend to be asleep, because the shadow of the head had already fallen to the bottom of the pit.

"Well, you woke up," said the man. - Well, that's fine, now I'll give you something to eat. Because the buyer will come tomorrow, you need to not lose weight. But first drink and wash.

A bucket of warm water came down. But Vayeli did not want to drink at all. She washed the remaining blood from her hands and face. It was this bloody water that got her interested. Saliva began to fill his mouth, his stomach rumbled. The girl looked at water as her favorite dish. This terrified her.

PART 8.

Vayeli tried not to drink the bloody water. The tension was exhausting and she fell asleep exhausted. Consciousness fell into the darkness of oblivion.

The glow of the full moon hit right in the face. The girl's eyes opened, the pupils were dilated so much that the iris looked black. It seemed that the body was controlled by some force. She stood up, her movements and steps were uncertain, as if in a dream. She went to the bucket, scooped up water with her hand and drank greedily. Fire spread through the body, power filled every cell. Suddenly the hands grabbed the bucket and brought it to the mouth as easily as if it were not half full, but empty. With greedy sips, she drained it to the bottom.

Vayeli's body began to shake, muscles swelled, eyes shone with supernatural brilliance, nails lengthened into beastly claws. An inhuman scream escaped from her chest. The picture of the reincarnation was completed by small vampire fangs.

With one jump and a blow of her hands, she knocked out the bars above the pit and found herself outside. The eyes saw clearly as day. The robbers woke up from her scream. There were not many of them, about a dozen. There is no point in describing what happened next, but it all ended as quickly as it began. Satisfied with warm fresh blood, Vayeli calmed down. Gradually, her heart stopped beating, and the metamorphoses of her body disappeared. Only the blood stains on the hands and near the lips reminded of what happened.

Oblivion left her consciousness; she saw everything she did. There were torn bodies lying around, it was all done by her, a fragile girl. But there was not a drop of pity in her soul for these creatures, because they killed people. Although it is possible that she has already lost pity. Vayeli had too many questions, so she wanted to return home as soon as possible to get answers.

The nanny taught her a path-finding spell, and now it came in handy.

- Direct the wind, illuminate the moon, find your way home with your heart.

With a confident step she walked into the darkness of the forest. She didn't have to wander long; It turned out that the camp was only a few hours' walk away. The girl was home before dawn.

After tidying herself up a bit, she decided to immediately start looking for answers in the notebook that Li Jing told her to read. She took it and went to the window to read under the dawn sun. But the first rays hit my eyes painfully, the skin of my face burned like boiling water.

“Oh,” Vayeli exclaimed, covering her face with her hands.

Rather, covering the sunlight, she rushed to the Notebook of Oblivion. What happened was the main question for her.

PART 9.

Finally Vayeli sat down and opened the Notebook of Oblivion. Letters appeared one by one on the blank pages, patterns of words interwoven into sentences emerged. It was about everything, about the father and mother, about their ardent love, about the illness and the nanny. And most importantly, the secret of the drugs that put her on her feet in childhood was revealed. It turns out that one of the components of the healing drops was the blood of a vampire. And the most important thing - without initiation, it is impossible to prepare medicine that will prevent the transformation into a vampire. Unfortunately, together with the nanny, the opportunity to make medicine is now lost.

From the realization that now she is a vampire forever, tears of despair flowed from her eyes. Now she is not just immortal. It must support its existence by drinking human blood. Vayeli did not want to be the murderer. Perhaps the transformation was not yet fully completed, or for some other reason, but a part of her soul was still filled with good thoughts.

At first, she decided to kill herself with the sun. But it didn't work. Yes, her skin was as if stung by nettles, she lost consciousness, but nothing more. However, she was still human a few days later.

What to do? Vayeli had already seen what her power was capable of, so she understood that not only the doors, but even the walls of the house would hardly be able to stop her from killing people. Therefore, she got herself together, went out, cast an invisibility spell on the house and wandered into the thick of the forest. The girl lost track of time, day and night got mixed up. Periodically, she fell, losing strength, then got up and went on. Sometimes she was so sick and hungry that she wanted to bite herself.

At some point, consciousness left her. She fell into deep oblivion.

...

Little by little, the strength returned. But what is it? Vayeli did not feel the hard ground under her back, her head was lying on a soft pillow, her body was covered by a silky blanket. She was feeling pretty good. And most importantly, his stomach didn't growl anymore, because he was full.

When she opened her eyes, she saw that she was in a room with a small window. It was getting dark outside. A woman was standing by the door, she was smiling.

- I welcome you to the Vampire cleaners clan.

PART 10.

And so, Vayeli ended up in the Vampire Cleaners clan. How was she found? There is a close connection between vampires. When she went into the forest, she thought that she was going as far as possible from everyone to die. But she did not know that she was following the call to the mass residence of vampires. And the more they live there, the more tangible the call will be. On the other hand, experienced vampires began to feel her approach. The longer you're a vampire, the better you get to know other vampires. Of course, vampire searchers were sent to meet her, and they saw her unconscious. Elder Iselith immediately understood that the girl had recently turned into a vampire. The elder could not read anything in the "Vanishing Chronicles" notebook, because he was under a spell, but from the words that the girl spoke during her delirium, something became clear, namely that she does not want to be a vampire.

Vayeli was sick for about a week, but the fresh blood contributed to a quick recovery.

She recovered, but did not remember anything. The thing is that at the annual meeting of the clans, the one who has more vampires under his command always has more votes. Therefore, the management uses various tricks. For example, since it was clear from the delirium that the girl did not want to be a vampire and kill, Iselith applied a delusion potion to her. Vayeli forgot everything that happened and felt like a real vampire.

The Vampire Cleaners clan was quite cunning. They did not go against human authority, they tried to remain in the shadows. And they ate primarily under the guise of war. They not only took blood from the killed, but also finished off the wounded. Also, the clan had an agreement with robbers, the authorities of various countries, with the military and even pirates. The scavengers were a wealthy clan because they often served as mercenaries or on special errands. After all, vampires have inhuman strength and abilities. And as you know, humanity is always at war, there is always a war going on somewhere. Therefore, they did not have a shortage of blood.

PART 11.

Years passed, Vayeli did not age, she lived an ordinary vampire life. Since the girl was born by humans, she felt alone among vampires despite the influence of the delusion potion.

Centuries passed. The Clan of Vampire Cleaners often changed their place of residence in order not to arouse suspicion with their unchanging appearance. In 1808, they actively collaborated with the famous pirate Zheng Shi. It was then that Vayeli met a young pirate and they started a romance. Yes, vampires can also fall in love, especially since she had a human heart in her. In 1810, Zheng Shi agreed to negotiations with the emperor. Each pirate who decided to leave the robber craft was given money to start a new life. The pirate group disbanded, and the vampire clan moved away to Europe. And since the beloved Waieli now had some fortune, he also went to those parts and settled nearby, having bought a small cozy house.

Whether it was because life became more peaceful, or because the time had come, Vayeli became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter. The girl was an ordinary person, her mother's transformation was not passed on to her. But Salvia Batista was very worried about her daughter's life, so when the little one turned one, she asked her lover to go as far as possible and start a new family. How her heart did not break from this, but her life was more important. From the past, Vayeli only had the Notebook of Oblivion. Unfortunately, her memory has not yet released the spell to read the hidden notes. Therefore, she made notes on blank sheets of paper for her daughter. She wanted her father to let her read that notebook when she grew up.

They decided on that. As soon as the ship to America was being formed, they decided to move there. And Vayeli stayed with the clan. Happiness was short-lived, but it became a ray of light in the centuries of her life.

PART 12.

The story about Vayeli comes to an end. Therefore, I will tell you what she did for many years of her vampire life.

As it was said at the beginning, the nanny passed on the knowledge of the healer to her. And although the elder of the vampire clan put a delusion spell on her, she still does not lose her basic skills and knowledge. What is done almost automatically, written somewhere in the subcortex of the brain, is used later in life. That is why Vayeli spent all these years studying healing, alchemy, and various sciences. She lived for centuries, so she had a lot of time to acquire knowledge. She visited different countries, mastered many languages, had access to famous libraries.

But she not only studied, she researched and invented many interesting solutions for healing. Also, in her search, the girl came close to inventing a solution that could replace blood in the nutrition of vampires and would not affect their quality of life.

Vayeli was focused on her studies most of the time, but her heart was pounding and she felt like she had to remember something. She was drawn to people, despite her long life, she still felt like a stranger among vampires. The whole style of their life, everything was unfamiliar to her. Only study and research helped to drown out sad thoughts.

PART 13 (final)

Years passed. Vayeli did not give up, she was close to discovering an elixir that would help vampires not depend on human blood. This idea might not have pleased the Old Believer vampires. Therefore, the girl kept her search a secret. Since humanity was in the midst of World War II, the vampire cleaners stayed close to the fighting in Europe.

May 1945 was approaching. Vayeli went out to replenish her blood supplies and find something for her experiments. She wandered the streets in thought. The fighting had already moved a little further, so there were various people everywhere, cleaning something, pulling up rubble, cooking food somewhere, and some were just wandering aimlessly. The day was gloomy, and besides, it was already evening, so Vayeli did not even cover herself, the sun could no longer harm her. For some reason, some strange force did not allow her to return home, something was happening, she kept returning to the same place.

- What could this be, thought Vayeli.

Usually vampires are attracted to each other like that. But she didn't feel a vampire near her, although something was drawing her to this place like a magnet. The girl decided to take a better look, to feel it more strongly. She closed her eyes and crouched down.

Gradually, the sounds around her died down, the air seemed to stop, her feelings intensified. She felt the call of blood. Yes, blood, human blood, so dear to her. Wyeli stood up, opened her eyes slightly to see where she was going, but to distance herself a little from her surroundings. Just a few steps and in front of her in the twilight the body of a young man was outlined. It was a soldier of the American army. The body was fresh, it seemed that he was simply sleeping. And only the bloody stain on his chest said that he could not have survived. Vayeli stretched out her hand and recoiled. She felt as if she was burned.

"Does the boy really have silver," flashed through her mind.

No, it was something else, it wasn't a feeling of danger. What kind of feeling was that? Salvia Batista looked around. There was no one around, so she started rummaging in his pockets. But they were empty. And then the girl noticed that there was a knapsack lying next to the body, which looked like a military one. Apparently, there was a clue there. With a sharp movement, she opened it and put her hand inside.

...

The ring that she never took off her finger hit something metal. It was two seals on a book. The cover was very familiar, the scent of the pages, the format, everything seemed like from the past. - What is this, why is this book so familiar to me. With trembling hands, Vayeli opened the pages. The seals and the ring shone. She peered into the unfamiliar letters, trying to read the inscriptions on the pages. Her head was buzzing, the tension grew so strong that a few drops of blood fell from her nose directly onto the pages.

A miracle happened. The letters whirled in a wild dance, intertwining into new words. With each letter, each word, the vampire realized that she knew what would be written next. Her eyes ran over the lines, the illusion that had been imposed by the elder of the vampires, Aiselit, melted with each word. Vayeli remembered everything that had happened to her before she got into the vampire clan. She remembered everything that she had tried to forget for their safety, that is, her lover, her daughter, she remembered that it was she who had sealed her memories of love in this notebook. Yes, it was her Notebook of Oblivion, her Vanishing Chronicles. And in front of her lay the body of her descendant. That is why she felt the call of blood.

A cry of despair and frantic pain escaped from her heart. Unable to bear all the misfortunes anymore, she got up and walked decisively to the building where the flames were still burning. She did not want this eternal life woven from pain and loss, she wanted to be destroyed by fire. And when there was only one step left, a man appeared from nowhere. He hugged her and said: "Vayeli, stop. Your life is very important." It was Arthur, a traveler in time and space.

- It's better to close your eyes for now and stay close to me. The transfer will end now, - said the Arthur.

Everything around him spun, swam. The girl's ears pricked up. From surprise, she didn't even resist, but gave in to his strong embrace...
