V. A NEW PATH: “THE CROOKED CORNER”

Reflecting on his childhood dreams, the sea, and warm nights among fishermen, he decided to change everything.

Thus, in the city of the Bronze Coast, the tavern “The Crooked Corner” was born — a place between the light of the lighthouse and the scent of fish piers, a refuge for travelers and the demons of their own fate.

Its name came from the crooked corner in the foundation of the old building and from the idea that everyone carries their own “crooked corner” in life — one that cannot always be straightened.

Now Govalmir is an innkeeper, cook, listener of stories, giver of advice, and simply a warm soul in a cold world — someone who always finds words of comfort.

For his friendly nature, Govalmir Shoreborn earned the nickname Uncle Gov.

VII. DRAGONS THAT NEVER LET GO

After the catastrophe, the dragons were resettled beyond the mountain ridge of Willowchantia — to the sulfur geysers, where warm air stabilizes their magic. And although Govalmir left the Academy, dragons never left his heart.

He often travels there: helping young dragons, tracking relics of destroyed magical formations, or simply sitting on a stone, listening to the hiss of sulfurous heat.

Dragons remember those who saved them.
And they remember him.

VIII. THE RETURN OF MAGIC

In time, Govalmir began learning magic with his left hand. It was a long journey: new gestures, different micro-movements, a shifted center of balance, a new sense of flow.

He practiced quietly, without pomp. First — tiny sparks, then weak spells, and after years of training — stable magical forms. Yet everything still lay ahead.

For now, he tells no one that he has not abandoned magic.
But can anything truly be hidden from Navenas? Ha.

With not much time left before the new academic term, one evening a venerable dragon appeared at the tavern window. It carried a manuscript signed by Navenas himself. The document stated that this was an official invitation to teach at the Academy — and that no time was granted for deliberation.

The schemers of the Circle knew: Govalmir would not be able to refuse a dragon.

A small tear went unnoticed, quickly lost in his thick beard.
Of course, he would return. First as a teacher of dragon studies — and later, perhaps…

But let us not speculate.

And the tavern?
It is forever.
For it has become a soul, a gathering place for friends, a comfort.

“The Crooked Corner” is not just a place.
It is a home for those who are lost.
And he will never leave his shore again.
